Alongside clinical practice, I’ve spent the last decade as an active investigator on major international heart failure trials, and my earlier research career (an MD (Res) at University College London under Professor Perry Elliott) focused on exercise physiology and outflow tract obstruction in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. I’m a co-investigator and site lead on several large, multicentre, randomised heart failure trials, including SOLOIST-WHF, IRONMAN, FINEARTS-HF and FUTURE-HF — published in journals including the New England Journal of Medicine, The Lancet, and the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.
